Hawthorn supports normal heart function. Hawthorn species belong to a category of thorny deciduous shrubs.
Flower tips with leaves, used to produce standardized extracts, are beneficial for heart health.
Extracts are standardized to flavonoid content, primarily hyperosides, and should contain 1.5% hyperosides.
Valerian is also called garden valerian or garden heliotrope.
Valerian rhizome and root, used to produce the extracts, contain several major ingredient groups:
sesquiterpenes (valerenic acid, acetoxy valerenic acid, valerenal)
valepotriates (epoxy iridoid esters).
