Apple cider vinegar

Apple cider vinegar is produced through bacterial fermentation of juice from juicy and ripe apples, the best varieties having higher sugar content.

Along with acetic acid it contains other organic acids (malic, citric, lactic), vitamins (A, C, B1, B2, B6), minerals (potassium, sodium, calcium, magnesium, phosphorus, chlorine and sulphur), amino acids and polyphenols.

Riboflavin (Vitamin B2)

Riboflavin is converted into special coenzymes in the body called flavocoenzymes.

Flavocoenzymes are important for energy production. They have a metabolic role and obtain energy from carbohydrates, fats and proteins.

Vitamin B6

Vitamin B6, in the form of pyridoxal phosphate, is a coenzyme of many enzymes involved in amino acid metabolism. It is also important for lipid metabolism, and takes part in the breakdown of glycogen into glucose.

Glycogen is used to store glucose in cells, and is mostly found in the liver and muscles.

Vitamin B 12

Vitamin B12 belongs to a group of water-soluble compounds important for the metabolism of amino acids, proteins and fats.

It plays a role in folate regeneration. Cyanocobalamin is also one of the forms of vitamin B12.

Vitamin B12 is found in animal source foods such as meat, liver, fish, shrimps, shellfish and eggs.
