Prenatal is designed for pregnant women, breastfeeding women and women planning to become pregnant.
Due to the content and active form of folic acid, it should especially be used in the period of preparation for pregnancy and in the first trimester of pregnancy.
Its use is also recommended during the second and third trimesters of pregnancy and during breastfeeding, as it contains the omega-3 fatty acid DHA, which promotes the development of the brain and eyes of the fetus and infants.
The product helps to reduce tiredness and fatigue as well as the lack of energy, which often occur during pregnancy and breastfeeding.
Pregnant women, breastfeeding women and women planning to become pregnant should take 1 tablet and 1 capsule a day.
Pregnant women, breastfeeding women and women planning to become pregnant should take 1 tablet and 1 capsule a day, after the main meal of the day.
DHA maternal intake contributes to the normal brain and eye development of the fetus and breastfed infants.
Information for pregnant and lactating women: beneficial effect is obtained with a daily intake of 200 mg of DHA in addition to the recommended daily intake for omega-3 fatty acids for adults, i.e. 250 mg DHA and EPA.EPA (eicosapentaenoic acid) and DHA (docosahexaenoic acid) are unsaturated fatty acids. They belong to the group of omega-3 long-chain polyunsaturated fatty acids (N-3 LCPUFA).
Omega-3 fatty acids accumulate in the phospholipid bilayer cell membrane. Cell membranes of some tissues are especially rich in fatty acids (heart muscle, retina, brain).
DHA as the main structural and functional long-chain polyunsaturated fatty acid contributes to the development of the brain and eyes of the fetus and infants fed breast milk. Infants fed breast milk receive most of the DHA through breast milk. The concentration of DHA in breast milk depends on the consumption of DHA through the mother’s diet and on the mother’s DHA stores.
Supplemental folic acid intake increases maternal folate status. Low maternal folate status is a risk factor in the development of neural tube defects in the developing foetus.
The target population is women of child-bearing age and the beneficial effect is obtained with a supplemental folic acid daily intake of 400 μg for at least one month before and up to three months after conception.
Neural tube defects in the developing foetus has multiple risk factors, changing one of these risk factors may or may not have a beneficial effect.
Folates (folic acid) contribute to maternal tissue growth during pregnancy.
