About Folic Active® capsules

Folate (folic acid) contributes to normal amino acids synthesis and normal blood formation. Supplemental folic acid intake increases maternal folate status. Low maternal folate status is a risk factor in the development of neural tube defects in the developing foetus.
Folate (folic acid) contributes to maternal tissue growth during pregnancy.

Intended use - for who and when?

Quatrefolic ® is an innovative substance

Quatrefolic ®

Quatrefolic ® is an innovative substance that represents the fourth generation of folate with improved bioavailability.
Quatrefolic ® is a glucosamine salt of (6S) -5-methyltetrahydrofolate and is structurally analogous to the reduced and active form of folic acid. Folate deficiency is one of the most common vitamin deficiencies. In case of inadequate intake of folate with food, supplementation is recommended.
